Only 6 weeks away from full fitness

I heard this phrase recently regarding climbers and I immediately recognised the relevance of this. When I have a big “gig” be it work or a trip I tend to start training about 6 weeks prior.

I guess I can’t discount the self limiting factor of climbing – you can only do what you can do. But generally I know I am fit enough to do this.

Why?

Because of days like today. I’ve not been hardcore climbing or training but I’ve lugged kit around, hoisted bags, yomped up and down cliffs, jugged up ropes and more – a normal “off” day for a climber.

Anyway, it was a great day. Lovely to meet Louisa, Sam, Jamie, Tim and Becka. Lots of climbing, lots of fun
