How to run an ultra-marathon; part 1

A friend of mine had convinced me to run an ultra-marathon. My previous max distance is 15 miles so a degree of scepticism is understandable. But his argument went something like this; you’re not punching out tarmac miles so your knees last longer, you can always walk, it’s nicer.

So I thought I’d start with a half off-road. The Kinder skyline is as good a run as it gets, not too difficult, stunning views and easy to cut short at anytime.

Loved it.

Next time the plan is to beat my previous max distance.

Fingers crossed
