Chiropractic and osteopathy – how do they work?

It’s fair to say I’ve been doing some research recently into practices that I use. Chiro and osteo have crept into my bag of tricks and I like using them and people like receiving them but if any of my patients feel this is all they are getting then feel free to ‘out’ me in social media.

Physios generally use “mobilisations” – slow, steady pressures through the spine. We occasionally use “manipulations” which is basically the same as an “adjustment” or “thrust”. But, yeah – apart from improving patient “buy in” (considerably btw) I’m not sure why I’m doing it. I do know when not to do it – this is ver important.

So here is a very informative article about all these things.
