TCA Squad briefing

Injury avoidance is always better than injury rehabilitation. To this end I met with the squad kids and their parents at least once a season to discuss common pitfalls and ways to stay injury free. Super stoked to see such a big squad this year and they were so nice and receptive so hopefully all will be well.

Important takeaways:

1. Develop strong relationships between climber, parent and coach.

2. Common sense manages most issues except shoulders – see a physio.

3. Monitor growth and ease off during growth spurts.

4. Always rehab joints fully.
