I’ve suffered from Golfer’s Elbow for about 2 years. Despite being a good boy and doing my exercises I have never shook it. I even rested for 4 months this summer and it came back as soon as I started at TCA. However this post (click here) from Tom Randall looked interesting so I tried…
A solution to golfer’s elbow (?)
I thought I would post this link. It might be a life changer if, like me you suffer from golfer’s elbow. Don’t get me wrong – it’s always worth your while getting checked out by a Physio (me) but I’m gonna check it out and will report back. Tom Randall of Wide Boyz, Century Crack…
Free drop-in clinic for soon to be ‘not new’ physio – get it while you can.
I will be at the TCA clinic from 5pm should there be any of you out there (I know you’re there) who want me to have a quick look at any niggles or aches and pains you might have.
Hard climbing hurts a little bit
I originally entitled this blog ‘proper climbing…’ but realised a) I was climbing indoors and b) I was bouldering. Forgive my pretentions of authenticity but I am still an outdoor/trad bot at heart and despite the recent twists and turns of my life it is the mountains I still hanker for. Finger news
So. For those of you still following this I buddy strapped my injured index finger for 2 days and continued to climb but on easy problems. A little bit painful at times but careful not to overload it. Now on Day 3 the finger is pain free and free of tape mostly. Resisted flexion is…
Injury update
So, 24hrs buddy strapped and only light climbing and it feels better. It still doesn’t enjoy even mild resistance into flexion but no swelling or bowstringing or pain with palpation so I reckon v. mild tendonopathy.
Physio, heal thyself
So, it’s official. I have a finger injury. Resulting from a lunge to a two finger pocket and landing only one finger – my left index. No popping sound but I felt it clunk through range. No significant pain or swelling immediately but caution led me to buddy strap it. Within an hour I had…
Physio Impulse
Another day shadowing Stu from PhysioImpulse. Good lad, great Physio – well worth checking out if you’re Bath based and can’t get into TCA
Another drop in clinic
I am still technically ‘new’ so am running another drop in session Friday night. Any niggles or aches come and have a word with me anytime after 5pm (I’ll be on the wall after 3pm if you know where to look)
Physio drop in from 1pm today
I’ll be at TCA this afternoon should anyone want some advice and treatment. All free if I’m available – just stick your head round the door
